INTRODUCTION
LVL, Voice of the Listener & Viewer, has been a client of ExtraDigital since 2009. We built their first website for them and have hosted and supported it ever since. In 2016, we redesigned the site with a mobile-friendly approach.
REDESIGN
The client’s requirements were to include a new CMS that is more modular, flexible for making changes, an updated design that was less text-heavy, more images, videos, and sound, and consistent with using Mailchimp for email communication and marketing.
Additional Website functionality required was:
- Ability to blog, provide event information, and news
- Policy and policy reports
- Photos and photogalleries
- Embedded 3rd party content
- Archived content
Transactional functionality:
- Pay to attend an event
- Sign up for regular emails
- Become a member
- Renew membership
- Pay membership fees
- Make a one-off donation
- Direct Debit
- Gift aid donations wherever possible
- Contact form
- Members to be able to update contact preferences
- Online surveys and questionnaires
- Members-only pages that aren’t accessible to the general public or search engines
- Sign up to attend an event
The new redesign was done on WordPress, considering all of the functions above we made sure the site was accessible, GDPR complaint, responsive, and SEO friendly.
